Ambient offers organizations auditable inference behind a drop-in gateway.

Why enterprises look at Ambient#

  • Provenance you can audit. Proof of Logits is designed to prove which model produced which output. Verification establishes execution integrity; it does not certify that an answer is factually true.
  • A drop-in gateway. The API at api.ambient.xyz is OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible, so adopting it is a base-URL swap behind your existing SDKs rather than a re-integration.
  • No platform-competition risk. An open network can't unilaterally change model behavior on you or compete with the product you built on it.

Security and compliance posture#

Ambient's infrastructure is architected for SOC 2 Type II controls. A completed attestation is not yet published; it will be linked here when available.

Data retention#

Ambient's design goal is zero data retention by default, including reasoning content. The enforcement mechanics differ by network stage:

  • Today (testnet): the zero-data-retention posture is enforced through whitelisted infrastructure; requests are served only by vetted operators under agreement.
  • Planned for mainnet: protocol-level protections, including onion routing of queries and end-to-end encryption, so the guarantee stops depending on operator vetting.

The longer-term privacy design also includes client-side PII obfuscation using a small local model, and query-origin obfuscation through the query auction itself.
